Apple Arcade Adds Five New Games in May, Including Triband’s Latest Title

Apple Arcade expands its catalogue in May with five new titles, headlined by WHAT THE CLASH?, the latest game from Danish indie studio Triband. Known for their quirky and unconventional game design, Triband follows up their award-winning WHAT THE CAR? with this chaotic multiplayer experience that blends sports and party-game elements. The title launches exclusively on Apple Arcade starting May 1.
WHAT THE CLASH? lets players compete in fast-paced challenges like tennis, archery, and tag using modifier cards that create unpredictable scenarios. Players control “The Hand,” a customizable character with a range of goofy cosmetic options. The game supports solo play or one-on-one battles with friends and aims to deliver a humorous, chaotic, fun style similar to its predecessor.
This month’s new titles include My Buddy, a pet simulation game where players care for virtual dogs and cats, and LEGO Friends Heartlake Rush+, an endless runner set in the LEGO Friends universe. Both games emphasize casual gameplay and character personalization, catering to younger audiences and fans of light-hearted mobile experiences.
Rounding out the list are Words of Wonders: Search+, a word puzzle game that combines vocabulary challenges with a globe-trotting theme, and SUMI SUMI: Matching Puzzle+, a match-three puzzle game featuring well-known Japanese characters like Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi. Each title maintains Apple Arcade’s ad-free, in-app purchase–free model.
In addition to the new games, several popular Apple Arcade titles are receiving updates this month, including Hello Kitty Island Adventure, PGA TOUR Pro Golf, and WHAT THE CAR?. These updates coincide with in-game events and real-world tie-ins, such as new content themed around the RBC Heritage golf tournament and expanded maps and characters in existing games.
