Embraer signs support agreement for Jazz Aviation’s 25 E-Jets in Canada

Embraer, Jazz Aviation

Embraer has announced a new agreement with Jazz Aviation to provide spare parts inventory support for its fleet of 25 E-175 aircraft, operated on behalf of Air Canada Express.

The deal marks Jazz Aviation as the first customer in Canada to join Embraer’s Collaborative Inventory Planning (ECIP) program. Under this model, Embraer takes on most of the investment and inventory management, aiming to reduce aircraft downtime and improve operational efficiency.

Growing presence in North America

According to Carlos Naufel, President and CEO of Embraer Services & Support, the agreement highlights the company’s growing presence in North America, home to the world’s largest fleet of E-Jets. Doug Clarke, President of Jazz Aviation, said the partnership is expected to enhance reliability and efficiency across its operations while maintaining high service standards for passengers.

The ECIP program offers several advantages, including reduced inventory costs, predictable annual pricing per part, and improved inventory efficiency through predefined delivery timelines tied to performance levels. The system is also data-driven, providing weekly order recommendations based on aircraft usage and stock levels.

Embraer noted that participating airlines benefit from its global logistics network and extensive materials management expertise, which contribute to improved performance and operational reliability.
